Cardboard Stool reinvents the cardboard tube as both a structural and aesthetic element. By superimposing layers of cardboard around a template, an extruded tube is formed. Usually cut straight with a circular saw, here it is transformed using CNC cutting, opening up new formal possibilities. Using a 350 mm diameter cardboard tube for the structure and a 700 mm diameter tube for the seat, this project focuses on transforming a simple industrial material and process into an object of visual intrigue and practicality.
