Nest Sofa
Self Initiated
Design: Oscar Massaud

This project explores the idea of a living space that does not impose a fixed posture, but instead offers complete freedom of use. The sofa is conceived as a place where one can sit, lie down or fall asleep in any position, whether alone or with others. It acts as a natural extension of everyday life, allowing for both moments of solitude and spontaneous shared experiences. Designed around principles of freedom and fluidity, the piece takes the form of a large nest — a welcoming structure that invites relaxation and adapts to individual desires. In contrast to rigid and formal seating, it embraces movement and informality, proposing an open-ended use rather than prescribing a specific way of sitting. More than a functional object, it is an invitation: a piece of furniture that suggests possibilities instead of imposing them.
