Sisyphe explores the potential of fiber cement (Eternit), a durable and weather-resistant material usually limited to utilitarian uses. By leveraging its density and acoustic qualities, the project proposes an outdoor speaker that combines sound performance with long-term resistance — offering an alternative to traditional materials like MDF, which are not suited for outdoor conditions. Sisyphe is a speaker made to live outdoors, in a garden, on a terrace, or even along a forest trail. It withstands the elements and the passing of time, designed to be forgotten outside without harm. In form, it disappears. Its soft, rounded silhouette, inspired by pebbles, reinforces the idea of a mineral object — quiet by nature, leaving behind only the music. Sisyphe proposes a new way of thinking about audio design: durable, faithful, and deeply in tune with its environment.
